Performs just as well as the $100.00+ LMFII knife by Gerber. The Prodigy is a little shorter/lighter making quick movement easily obtainable. The sheath is made well but, I think that is where the 50% price difference comes in to play. No built in sharpener, only one non rubberized strap (Rather than the LMF's 2 rubberized) Awesome knife thats cheap enough to actually use. p.s. Although there are no paracord holes near the hilt for lashing to a stick (etc.) the handle insets still allow the knife to be lashed just as easily.
