An innovative and practical knife design for law enforcement by CRKT and Russ Kommer, the Kommer I.F.B. (2870 Integral Fixed Blade) is a single piece of super tough carbon steel. The carbon steel on the Kommer I.F.B. (2870 Integral Fixed Blade) has been hot forged, giving it additional strength, edge retention and an HRC of 59 to 61. For added practicality, the Kommer I.F.B.'s (2870 Integral Fixed Blade) blade is coated with a black EDP coating to help resist corrosion and shine.
The Kommer I.F.B. (2870 Integral Fixed Blade) is a modified drop point blade, just under 4" in length with a taper grind. The handle on the Kommer I.F.B. (2870 Integral Fixed Blade) is wide and contoured for a good grip. Skeletonized for weight reduction and balance, the handle also features smaller holes for cord wrapping or a lanyard. The Kommer I.F.B. (2870 Integral Fixed Blade) comes in at a "healthy" weight of about 7 1/2 ounces.
Oh yeah, the Kommer I.F.B. comes with CRKT's tactical sheath which features their patented multi-position quick release clip and a grip on the knife that allows you to carry the knife inverted.
