M Type, Black G-10 Handle, Plain by Boker

I normally carry an Emerson CQC-7, but when the grips needed to be replaced, I needed a reasonably priced replacement for a short while. After talking via email to Chad about the M-Type (nice guy, by the way), I decided to give it a try. It's a pretty good knife - opens very smoothly. I love the blade design. I've conducted a few tests for sharpness, and the M-Type performed very well. Sharpens back to a razor-edge quickly. I'll keep this as the knife I take on my daily run even after I get my CQC-7 back, because the design makes it a snap to keep clean.

I was looking for a reasonable 2nd knife for everyday carry while I sent mt Emerson CQC-7 off to get the grips re-done. The M-type seems to be exactly what I was looking for. It feels great in the hand (once it's open I don't think it'll be easy for anybody to take it away), and the blade fairly springs out on its' own. Even after I get my Emerson back, the M-type will probably be the knife I take on my daily run because the design makes it so easy to clean - no liners. The frame lock functions exactly like a liner lock, so it's easy to get used to. Overall, this is a great knife for the price.
